Styling Tips: How to wear 1 skirt 3 ways!

Don’t you hate it when you buy something you really love but then only get to wear it once? The pink floral skirt from Veronica’s Closet can be worn for any occasion and this blog is going to tell you how to style it!

This skirt is perfect for any scenario whether you are dressing it up with a pair of heels or dressing it down with your favourite pair of runners and a funky knit.   Although this skirt is gorgeous alone, it’s great to find multiple uses for our otherwise ‘once off pieces’.  This skirt is perfect for the summer months with its light flowy material but now it’s time to figure out how we can continue to wear this gorgeous piece in the colder winter months.  We are now entering the beginning stages of the colder weather and we definitely don’t want to have to hide this skirt away until next spring! Am I right ladies??  So here it is, your guide to styling this amazing skirt in three different ways!

One of the main reasons we decided to make these ‘1 skirt 3 ways’ blogposts is because that’s how we believe everybody should shop.  We feel that it is very important and more sustainable to figure out ways to get multiple uses out of different clothing items.

Outfit no. 1:

This skirt is definitely a breeze to style in the warmer months as the light pink and white design matches a variety of different top styles.  The picture below features the matching co-ord top which is all the rage this season.  This look would be perfect for a warm wedding or a confirmation/communion where you want to look your best without all the fuss.  Just pair this matching co-ord with a gorgeous pair of wedges or kitten heels and your favourite clutch bag.  We would advise simple, neutral makeup colours and simple jewellery to match this look as the outfit itself does all the talking!

Outfit no.2:

Figuring out how to wear your favourite summery pieces in autumn/winter can be difficult!  That’s why we recommend pairing the pink and white floral skirt with your favourite knit jumper and a pair of trainers.  Because the skirt is on the longer side it will still provide a bit of heat for your legs and if all else fails, throw on a pair of skin coloured tights under the skirt! Shhhhh nobody will be able to tell 😉  In the picture below we just demonstrate how this skirt is the perfect transition piece for any wardrobe as we swapped out the short sleeved co-ord top for a short sleeved knit jumper.  And when the weather gets even colder, we can swap out the short sleeved knit for long sleeves and throw on a denim jacket for extra warmth!

Outfit no.3:

Our final outfit is one of my favourites as it reminds me of walking along the beach on holidays, barefoot on my way to get a margherita! LOL But seriously, this outfit demonstrates how an intricate top can still be paired with a busy skirt such as this one for a show stopping look! To dress this look down simply swap out your favourite wedges for your favourite trainers and a denim jacket.

So that’s it! Our guide to styling one skirt for three different occasions!  You can now find all of the clothing seen in the above pictures on the Veronica’s Closet new in section!. x
